More Than a Vet, a Partner: The Medivet Partnership

Our unique Partnership model is shaped to offer the best of both worlds to our veterinary professionals. It allows you to gain the autonomy of local ownership coupled with the benefits that a corporate partnership can bring. 

With our recently announced ambition to be 100% Partner-led by 2027, right now is the perfect time to join us as a Medivet Partner.

How does our model work?

As a co-ownership model based on a percentage of shares, profit is split directly in proportion to the shares owned. To make our model as accessible as possible, we offer a 10-year Deferred Payment Plan. This requires only 10% of your investment 2 weeks prior to your signing, to give you that extra peace of mind.

Looking after you from day one

We ensure all our Partners receive 6 weeks of Annual Leave, with a locum covering duties during your absence to prevent burnout and ensure proper time off. Looking after yourself and your well-being is just as important as looking after clients and their pets

As a Partner, you will have clinical autonomy and the freedom to make your own decisions, but don’t think that means you’re on your own! You’ll enjoy the support from our dedicated clinical operations teams and get to take advantage of our extensive network of experienced clinicians. 

Our specialists will ensure you have all the right tools, procedures, knowledge, and colleagues to help you manage the performance of your clinic.

Unlike other models from our competitors, we provide Partners with a powerful “safety net” if they decide to end their Partnership with Medivet. The way this works is that the Partner's profit share is multiplied by a set multiple, depending on how long they have been in Partnership with Medivet. This is the Partner profit share worked out from the last twelve months, added on to the Partner profit share from the next 12 months of their notice period, and divided by 2. ie, average of the last 2 years in the practice

Rawdon joined Medivet Epsom Pound Lane and was working with one of our long-standing Partners, Ejaz Hameed. 

Whilst working with Ejaz, it became clear to Rawdon that he wanted to start his own partnership journey. After discussions with the Partnership team, the right location was found that would suit Rawdon and his family. 

His Partner journey began at Teddington in May 2025, with his launch attended by friends, family, clients, and his Partner mentor, Ejaz. 

On becoming a Medivet Partner, Rawdon said: "I can't wait to serve the people and pets of this community, and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.”

Frequently Asked Questions about Medivet’s Partnership

Do you have clinical autonomy as a Medivet Partner?

Yes, you are the Partner, and you can make the decisions as the clinic is your own. We pride ourselves on the high level of clinical care that all of our vets provide to our patients.

Can I work the hours I want to?

We expect full-time Partners to work 40 hours per week plus 1 in 6 weekend days at their local 24-hour Medivet. We do, however, have several part-time Partners who work a minimum of 33 hours per week.

Can I pay more than 10% of the business value to start off?

Of course! We just offer 10% to make it potentially more manageable to financially enter the partnership. You can pay as much as you’d like to; we just need the initial 10% as a minimum.

Can I be a Partner even if I haven’t led a team before?

Leadership experience is beneficial, but we have a fantastic support centre team to enable you to access any advice, training, and guidance that you may need.

Do you have Partner opportunities in hospitals, too? 

Yes, we do across the UK.
