Does Medivet offer flexible Veterinary Surgeon roles?
Yes. We know the right working pattern looks different for everyone, so you’ll find a range of full-time, part-time and flexible Veterinary Surgeon opportunities across Medivet & Partners. Working patterns, hours, weekend requirements and out-of-hours arrangements may vary between practices. Take a look at our current vacancies to see what’s available, and if a role interests you but you’re looking for a different working pattern, we’d still be happy to hear from you and discuss what’s possible.
Does Medivet & Partners offer visa sponsorship and relocation support?
Yes -Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available for eligible Veterinary Surgeon roles and candidates. If you’re a vet considering moving to the UK, check the individual vacancy for details of the support available. If you’re an overseas-qualified Veterinary Surgeon considering moving to the UK, you’ll need to be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) before you can practise as a vet in the UK. Your route to registration will depend on where you qualified and whether your qualification is recognised by the RCVS.
What do I need to do to work as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK?
To practise as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK, you must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). If you're a veterinary student or newly qualified Vet looking for your first UK role, you can explore our Graduate Vet Programme, designed to support your transition from university into practice with structured development, mentoring and VetGDP support. If you've qualified outside the UK, your route to RCVS registration will depend on where you qualified and whether your veterinary qualification is recognised by the RCVS. Some overseas-qualified Vets may need to complete the RCVS Statutory Membership Examination before they can register and practise in the UK. Visit the RCVS website for the latest registration requirements.
Can I become a Medivet Partner as a Veterinary Surgeon?
Yes! Our Partnership offers Veterinary Surgeons the opportunity to become a practice co-owner and take greater ownership of your future. As a Medivet Partner, you can lead and grow your practice while retaining clinical autonomy, supported by the wider Medivet & Partners network and support teams.
