After successfully completing the Graduate Vet Programme, you'll be actively encouraged to develop your skills and further your career.
As a Veterinary Surgeon with Medivet, you’ll receive a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) package of £1,500 plus three days, which you can put towards external training in a wide range of areas. Certificate sponsorship is also available, allowing you to pursue any area of veterinary care and further your expertise.
We understand that life as a vet can be challenging, so we also offer internal courses to develop your soft skills, including stress management and handling difficult conversations with clients, ensuring you have all the tools you need to succeed.
There are several rewarding career paths available for our Veterinary Surgeons, whether you're looking to become a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon, a Night Veterinary Surgeon or progress into slightly different roles, which could include Lead Veterinary Surgeon, a Branch Partner or even Regional Operations Director! There's plenty of paths you could take with your career.
As a Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you'll shape clinical standards and inspire your team, ensuring high standards of care while mentoring fellow vets and shaping day-to-day clinical excellence.

You'll lead regional success through strategic planning, supporting Practice Managers, and delivering continuous improvement. You’ll take ownership of commercial results, cost management, and local clinic strategy.
