Registered Veterinary Nurse
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to work within our well-established 24 hour Hospital based in Nantwich, Cheshire.
Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. Full support will be provided as you will work closely within our experienced team.
Nantwich 24 Hour is a purpose built modern veterinary hospital with a large first opinion client base as well as taking referrals in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, internal medicine and diagnostic imaging.
Our facilities include separate dog and cat wards, isolation for cats and dogs, oxygen kennels, four operating theatres, CT and MRI, Arthroscopy, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, a range of multi parameter monitoring equipment and ventilation.
This role is full time working 40 hours over a 4 day week.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
