Registered Veterinary Nurse
The opportunity
Medivet Muswell Hill is a brand new and well-equipped practice in London.
We have a long history of providing exceptional patient/client care to our local community and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join us in our journey.
We have a friendly, established team, consisting of a full time Veterinary Surgeon, a Graduate Veterinary Surgeon and 2 long term Patient Care assistants, with the help of floating Nurses within the region.
This role works to a 4-day week with 1:6 weekends at Hendon 24 hour, enabling fantastic work-life balance with no impact to your salary.
This improved rota provides our exceptional RVNs with more flexibility and well-earned time back during the week. In addition to better work-life balance, we are truly committed to helping our Medivet community achieve their goals.
To support you in your role, we offer training and internal CPD for nurse clinics focussing on building your confidence in consulting, developing your consulting skills and a Nutritional Ambassador Programme delivered by Hills.

Role Accountabilities
Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
