The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Area Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team covering our Medivet Dartford region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident vet who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a positive impact across multiple practices.
As an Area Vet, you’ll provide clinical support to a cluster of Medivet practices within the Dartford area, ensuring our clients and their pets receive outstanding care. You’ll work alongside experienced branch partners, nurses, and support teams to deliver exceptional standards of veterinary medicine and client service.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on flexibility, enjoys working with diverse teams, and takes pride in maintaining continuity of care and clinical excellence across multiple practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, first-opinion veterinary care across the Dartford area practices.
Support and collaborate with branch teams to maintain clinical and operational standards.
Build strong relationships with clients, offering a compassionate and professional service.
Work alongside Lead Vets and Branch Partners to help mentor and develop junior team members.
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records.
Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold Medivet’s core values and clinical protocols.
Skills and Experience
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in small animal practice.
Confident in routine surgery and consultations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and work across different teams and practice settings.
A positive, proactive approach with a genuine passion for animal welfare.
The Package
Competitive salary dependent on experience.
£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ paid CPD leave (higher budget considered for certificate holders).
VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees paid.
