The welcoming and social team at Medivet Wokingham 24-hour offer a range of experience and skill within the practice and area, including working alongside certificate holders and experienced ECC colleagues. The practice provides out of hour care, hospitalisation and case work up for our surrounding branches as well as first opinion provision within the week. The practice has a dedicated Practice Manager and team of RVN's/SVN's Veterinary Care Assistant and Client Care Assistants.

Medivet Wokingham 24 Hour offers extensive facilities for continuous pet care, including 24-hour emergency services, intensive care, hospitalisation, and advanced surgical procedures, supported by state-of-the-art equipment for diagnostics like X-rays. The practice also provides in-house laboratories, comprehensive dental care, dedicated nurse clinics, and a patient transport service to ensure pets receive the highest standard of care around the clock

We are seeking a Vet to join the practice with a keen interest in ECC to work on a full time basis of 39 hour per week with a fair share of weekends.

    Role Accountabilities

    In this role you will:

    • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.

    • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.

    • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.

    • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.

    • Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.

    • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.

    • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

    Your Skills and Experience

    • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.

    • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.

    • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.

    • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.

    • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.

    • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.

    • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
