We are looking for a first opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Heaton Chapel. You’ll be working alongside an established, long-standing team, including a experienced Lead Vet who has been with the practice for over 15 years.
The practice benefits from a loyal client base and offers a supportive working environment, making it an ideal setting for a vet who is passionate about delivering high-quality, personal care.
Facilities include an in-house laboratory and digital x-ray, with a large car park available at the front for client convenience.
The practice has had a full refurbishment this month.
This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week across two days (Friday and one other day) Full time options available when paired with another local practice, with either 1 in 6 full weekends or 1 in 3 Saturdays, depending on your availability. We’re happy to discuss a pattern/hours that work for you.

Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
