Veterinary Surgeon (12 Month FTC)

Medivet Peterborough Welland Road is a small, friendly practice looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. 

You’ll be joining a lovely team made up of two vets, two RVNs, a VCA, and two CCAs. 

Our practice is well-equipped with: 

  • Digital X-ray 

  • Ultrasound (with Doppler and cardiology software) 

  • Endoscopy 

  • Dental suite with dental X-ray 

We have a loyal client base and consistently receive excellent feedback. 

This role offers a varied caseload, so whether your interests are surgical, medical, or a mix of both, you’ll feel right at home here. 

It’s a part-time role, working three days per week (ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, but we’re flexible) from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. 

Our central location means you can easily explore the West Norfolk coast, and Peterborough Station provides direct train links to London King’s Cross in just one hour.

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.  

  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.  

  • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.  

  • Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.  

  • Inspire the team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.  

  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community. 

 

Your Skills and Experience 

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon. 

  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.  

  • An understanding and appreciation of exceptional care and how this improves the client experience.  

  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.  

  • Experience of delivering strong commercial performance through effective allocation of clinical activity. 

  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
