Medivet 24 Hour Woodstock is a modern, well-equipped veterinary surgery and the hub of the Oxford region. The practice has recently been extended and refurbished, featuring a CT scanner and digital x-ray facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency and critical care and will thrive on delivering gold-standard patient and client care. You’ll be joining a team where every nurse’s opinion truly counts toward the care of our patients.
Your day will include a variety of nursing and surgical duties, working with interesting medical cases and receiving full support from our experienced and friendly team. You’ll bring a positive attitude and a desire to develop your skills and knowledge further within a supportive environment.
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week with a fair share of weekends.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
Deliver patient monitoring and care.
Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
Dispense and check medication.
Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
Engage, coach and develop your team.
Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
