We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Bloomsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped practice in the heart of London, where no two days are the same.

You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding patient and client care, with a varied caseload that allows you to utilise your nursing skills to their full potential from monitoring anaesthetics and assisting in surgery to nurse consults and inpatient care. You’ll be working alongside a close-knit, collaborative team of vets, nurses, and support staff who are committed to clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

Our practice is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, and separate dog and cat wards, creating a calm and efficient working environment. Role Accountabilities 

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.  

In this role you will: 

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. 

  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. 

  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.  

  • Deliver patient monitoring and care. 

  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. 

  • If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. 

  • Dispense and check medication. 

  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. 

  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.  

 

Your Skills and Experience 

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. 

  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. 

  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. 

  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency 

  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
