As the practice Manager at Swanland's Hospital, you will play a core part of the 24hr clinic team, overseeing the business and administrative aspects of the clinic, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards of care and teamwork, focusing on financial performance and client satisfaction.
You will work in close collaboration with the Lead Vet, supporting Paul in meeting practice goals and KPIs. This role is full time and includes a weekend rotation.

Role Accountabilities:
Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:
Comply with Medivet operational processes to ensure practice compliance with appropriate regulations, Practice Standards Scheme (PSS), and equipment maintenance.
Ensure effective stock management, ordering and inventory control
Complete and maintain clinic rotas managing changes and arranging cover
Regularly review Practice KPIs and P&Ls to monitor financial performance, including revenue, cost management, and client engagement metrics.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of all colleagues for aspects such as absence, holiday approvals and return to work interviews
Ensure accurate payroll submission, including outstanding timesheets, approval of locally agreed overtime rates, one-time payments and cross-branch working.
Conduct regular 121s and performance reviews for non-clinical colleagues. Support the Lead Vet as needed with the process for performance reviews and clinical development discussions for vets and nurses.
Raise vacancy requests, completing all recruitment administration, supporting the Lead Vet with the process as required.
Onboard new starters with relevant training, ensuring all colleagues and locum complete a site induction on first day
Coordinate and support team meetings and training sessions focused on improving team performance, engagement, and colleague well-being.
Drive client satisfaction initiatives
Responsible for addressing all client complaints
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional care to our clients
Your Skills and Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of practice environments, ideally gained in a Veterinary, GP or Dental practice setting.
An understanding and appreciation of exceptional care and how this improves the client experience.
Understanding of the importance of regulation and of managing/monitoring effective processes for compliance.
Experience in driving strong commercial performance through effective financial management, marketing activity and efficient ways of working.
Experience of resource planning.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
Proficiency with computer systems, experience of using Microsoft Office
Good numeracy and analytical skills.
Experience of managing and leading a team.
