This is a pivotal senior leadership role where you’ll shape strategy, champion clinical excellence and build a highly engaged, high‑performing network of Branch Partners, Lead Vets and support teams.

What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
Own and deliver the network strategy, conducting quarterly business reviews with Branch Partners.
Use financial insight and performance data to drive growth, supported by Finance Business Partners.
Drive the partner‑conversion strategy, supporting our goal of reaching 90% partner‑led practices by 2027.
Approve Capex purchases and influence strategic property and facilities programmes.
Champion collaboration across the network, ensuring fair use of the hub‑and‑spoke model.
Partner with IT, Procurement and other central teams to support continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence & Client Focus
Conduct regular site visits to support Branch Partners and review performance.
Ensure schedules and appointments are optimised for client care and colleague wellbeing.
Approve mobile vet and peripatetic resource use where needed.
Act as a key point of contact for clinic leadership teams, ensuring continuity of support.
Oversee stock management, ordering compliance and material margin improvements.
Influence local marketing activity and support campaigns to increase Branch Partner opt‑ins.
Ensure timely resolution of complaints and authorise settlement agreements where required.
People Leadership & Development
Lead succession planning, talent mapping and resource planning across the network.
Ensure effective graduate mentoring and support GDP advisors in clinics.
Coach and develop Branch Partners, Network Partners and other leaders through regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
Partner with the People Team on complex ER cases, escalations and people strategies.
Cascade key communications and lead the implementation of change across the network.
Oversee wellbeing, engagement and ENPS action plans.
Approve CPD requests and manage salary review distribution within budget.
Recruitment & Talent Attraction
Actively network to identify and recruit new Branch Partners.
Review recruitment progress monthly and approve new roles in Workday.
Governance & Compliance
Approve restricted drug requests and review refund reporting for anomalies.
Ensure robust Health & Safety practices across all clinics, including Evotix risk reviews.
Support compliance with PSS, RCVS, BVA, VMD and all regulatory standards.
Champion clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards.
Approve maintenance requests above clinic and Network Partner thresholds.

Experience coaching and developing multi‑level teams across a large network.
Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting financial and performance data.
A decisive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to balance strategy and hands‑on support.
High levels of organisation, prioritisation and resilience.
Deep understanding of veterinary service operations.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management and Capex processes.
Knowledge of people leadership, HR case management and talent development.
Familiarity with compliance and Health & Safety frameworks in regulated environments.
Understanding of marketing, client experience and hub‑and‑spoke service models.
Demonstrated success in leading change and embedding cultural and performance improvements.
Full UK driving licence for regular clinic visits
