Veterinary Care Assistant

About the Practice Medivet Littlehampton is a well-established small animal practice with a loyal client base and a friendly, collaborative team. You'll work alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons, a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, and a Student Veterinary Nurse, gaining exposure to a varied medical and surgical caseload. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care whilst creating a welcoming environment for both our clients and our team. No two days are the same, making this a fantastic role for someone who enjoys variety and being hands-on. The Role As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you'll play an essential role in the smooth running of the practice and the care of our patients. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing exceptional care and support to our patients throughout their stay. - Assisting the veterinary surgeons and nursing team with day-to-day clinical activities. - Preparing patients for procedures and supporting post-operative care. - Monitoring hospitalised patients under the guidance of the clinical team. - Walking, feeding, cleaning and providing enrichment for inpatients. - Preparing, cleaning and maintaining clinical equipment and consulting rooms. - Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the practice. - Dispensing medications under veterinary direction. - Supporting client care and ensuring every client receives a warm, professional welcome. - Helping ensure the practice meets all clinical, operational and regulatory standards.
