Remuneration

£30,000 to £32,000 per year (pro rata £21,750 - £23,200)

We are looking for a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our professional, personable team at Medivet Speke.

The practice is on the outskirts of Liverpool by the John Lennon Airport and has strong transport links to M62, M57 and M56.

The clinic has a spacious theatre, 3 consulting rooms, dental equipment, x-ray and ultrasound. Within your role you will work alongside a supportive team which includes the Head Nurse, Vicky and two Client Care Assistants.

You must be an experienced Veterinary Nurse with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.

The role is Part Time working 3 days 8:30-7:00. With 1 full weekend in 8.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Engage, coach and develop your team.
  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
