We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Merthyr Tydfil team, working alongside our brilliant and supportive group of vets and nurses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys utilising their full range of nursing skills across surgery, medicine, and nurse consults.

Merthyr Tydfil is a busy and varied clinic, offering exposure to a wide range of interesting cases. You’ll be part of a well-staffed team of 4 vets, 6 nurses and 4 receptionists, ensuring you’re always supported. The practice is set within a spacious, well-equipped building featuring three consulting rooms, an operating theatre, and an imaging room. We also work closely with VVS to provide ultrasound support where needed.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends.

About you

You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.  You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
  • Deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
