Medivet Shrewsbury 24hr is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join the team on a 9-month fixed term contract, working either full-time or part-time (minimum 28 hours per week) across Monday to Friday. This is a key leadership role within a 24-hour clinic, working closely with the Partner, Simon, to support the continued success of the practice.

As a core member of the clinic team, the Practice Manager oversees the business and administrative functions of the practice, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, high standards of care and teamwork, strong financial performance, and excellent client satisfaction.

Highly organised and proactive, you’re skilled in systems, data analysis, and resource planning.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional client care, monitoring client feedback and actioning to improve the practice
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Support the Partner / Lead Vet with a focus on capacity, skills utilisation and cost management to maximise commercial performance
  • Maintain clinic rotas and carry out effective resource planning, diary management and clinic workflow
  • Support recruitment, induction and management of colleagues, enabling engagement and retention
