Night Veterinary Surgeon (Part Time) We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and experienced team at Medivet Dorchester 24 Hour, a recently refurbished, multi-disciplinary hospital located just a short drive from the stunning Jurassic Coast.
Dorchester 24 Hour has a strong regional presence, providing out-of-hours care for five Medivet branches and seven non-Medivet practices which gives scope for a wide range of clinical cases. You will be working within a highly skilled and supportive team, which includes certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, dermatology, and emergency and critical care, as well as colleagues who are currently studying towards surgical and dental qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary surgeon with a minimum of 3 years proven UK experience to thrive in a busy, forward-thinking hospital environment while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of the Dorset coast. This position will be a sole charge role, so confidence and previous experience in carrying out all aspects of the duties independently, (supported by an RVN) is essential and ECC experience ideal.
The role is offered on a rota of two night shifts (Monday and Tuesday) every three weeks, with working hours of 18:45–09:00; an average of 9.5hours per week.
