We are looking for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive team at Medivet Chorley 24 Hour Hospital. This is a permanent sole charge role, ideal for a confident vet who thrives in emergency and critical care and is comfortable managing cases independently.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality out-of-hours care across the region, with a varied caseload including emergency procedures such as caesareans, GDVs, and acute medical cases. You’ll be supported overnight by an experienced RVN and Twilight VCA, ensuring strong clinical and patient care support.
Our hospital is well-equipped and spacious, featuring six consult rooms, two theatres, large wards, and modern facilities including multi-parameter monitoring, endoscopy, ultrasound (with virtual specialist support), and orthopaedic and laparoscopic equipment. We are also happy to support development and funding for the right candidate.
This role offers a fantastic work–life balance with a 7pm–9am, 5 on / 10 off rota, giving you plenty of time to recharge while maintaining strong ECC exposure.
Based in Chorley, you’ll enjoy a great mix of countryside and connectivity, with easy access to the West Pennine Moors, Manchester, and Liverpool.
