We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Veterinary Care Assistant to support our teams across our Cuffley, Waltham Abbey and Cheshunt Animal Clinic practices. As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be an integral part of the practice team, working closely with our Veterinary Surgeons, Head Nurses and Student Nurses to provide exceptional care and support to our patients. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple sites while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practices and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and client service. Provide a gold standard service to our patients and clients Following cleaning protocols to maintain cleanliness of the clinical environment Preparing and maintaining medical equipment This role is 40 hours a week with 1:3 weekends (Either a Saturday or Sunday). Weekends are at the Enfield 24 Hr hospital. A share of bank holiday shifts (expect 2-3 a year) and on-call duties (2-3 weeks a year). Full UK driving licence required.

This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
