Orrell Park, Liverpool

Medivet Orrell Park is seeking a nurturing, supportive Lead Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys developing people as much as delivering excellent clinical care. This role would suit a confident GP vet who leads by example, enjoys mentoring, and takes real pride in building a positive, high-performing team culture.

It would be great if you’re considering partnership now or in the future as your role develops. You’ll work closely with Andy, the Branch Partner, helping to shape the clinical direction and long-term success of the practice.

The practice is well equipped and soon to be refurbished, featuring digital X-ray, ultrasound, a brand new laparoscopy  and dental suite, with access to advanced imaging, surgery, and hospitalisation through our nearby 24-hour hospital. This is a full-time role across 4 days per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays, offering the chance to combine leadership, hands-on clinical work, and career progression.

Your career means more than a rota and a job title, that’s why we offer:

Health and wellbeing

  • Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan from day one
  • 24/7 counselling and wellbeing support
  • Life Assurance 3 x salary

Annual leave

  • 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising with length of service
  • Extra ‘Day for You’, a paid day off just for you

Learning and development

  • £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3 days’ paid leave per year
  • Access to Clinical Communities, internal CPD and our 24-hour hospitals
  • Funded certificates and internal career pathways

Additional support

  • Lead Vet Contribution Scheme
  • RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid.
  • Relocation support and Visa sponsorship available
  • Sabbatical options based on length of service

Lifestyle

  • Cycle to Work
  • Season Ticket loans
  • Discounts on Medivet products and services
