A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our professional and personable team in our practice located in the beautiful market town of Daventry, Northamptonshire.

We have a very long-standing and friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide. You will be part of a fully supportive team dedicated to their clients and patients, giving you the space to focus on providing exceptional veterinary care.

The practice is ideally situated close to the town centre and is well-equipped with ultrasound, ECG, dental facilities, an in-house laboratory, and separate cat and dog wards and waiting areas.

Daventry offers the perfect balance of work and lifestyle. The town has a welcoming community, a range of local shops, cafés, and restaurants, and excellent schools. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside provides plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, and other recreational activities. Commuting to nearby cities is easy thanks to the M1 and A45, while still enjoying the charm and slower pace of market town life.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week over 4 days, with a weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends at Leamington Spa 24 Hour.

About you

You’re a qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence and client care. You want to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance

  • Develop tailored treatment plans with clients

  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team

  • Share your skills, inspiring others and supporting our Medivet communities’ development
