Medivet St Neots is a single Vet practice managed by our lovely Lead Vet who is due to go on maternity leave shortly. We are looking for a Vet who may be looking for a bit of stability or step up into a Lead role for a 12 month fixed term period.
You’ll be supported by our RVN, SVN, VCA and CCA and this is a great opportunity for a Vet who prefers to work weekdays only (4 days) and keep their weekends free.
You will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating and managing various medical conditions. Using a combination of your medical expertise, surgical proficiency and communication skills you will provide exceptional care, ensuring the health and happiness of our patients and clients.
St Neots is a charming market town located in west Cambridgeshire, nestled on the banks of the River Great Ouse, with great transport links including a 10-minute walk from St Neots train station.

Role Accountabilities
Provide first class clinical care through consultations, procedures and monitoring
Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care
Provide exceptional client care giving clear updates on patients, resolving issues as they arise
Observe the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt
Maximise capacity through the most effective utilisation of clinical skills
Hold engaging clinical meetings with veterinary and nursing teams
Support and carry out colleague clinical mentoring / development
Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across clinics and the wider Medivet community
Support with the growth of our new 24-hour practice
Your Skills and Experience
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, or with the eligibility to be registered
Confident working sole charge
A client-oriented approach, with excellent communication skills
Experience of working to the highest medical and surgical standards
Experience of working with a team to develop a practice
Competent in clinical examination and surgery
Experience of building trusting relationships with colleagues, and working effectively as part of a team
A great communicator, you will be an outstanding and positive example to others.
