Location: Hybrid (Watford-based; some travel to sites and suppliers as required)
 

At Medivet, we’re on a mission to deliver exceptional care that’s always there — for our patients, clients, and people. To support our growth and service excellence, we’re looking for a commercially minded Indirect Category Manager to join our Procurement team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead impactful procurement initiatives across a diverse portfolio, including Property, Facilities Management, IT, Fleet, Professional Services, Marketing, and other general business services.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement category strategies that deliver sustainable savings, risk reduction, and service improvements.

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities (RFIs, RFPs, negotiations) ensuring compliance and value for money.

  • Manage supplier selection, contracting, and performance reviews, driving accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure suppliers meet Medivet’s ESG, data protection, and ethical sourcing standards.

  • Monitor spend, savings, and supplier performance, producing reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.

  • Build strong relationships across Property, IT, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and other teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.

  • Drive adoption of procurement best practices, tools, and systems, mentoring junior team members along the way.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in indirect procurement across multi-site operations.

  • Proven expertise in category management and end-to-end contract management.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to link data insights to strategic outcomes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Experience leading supplier performance management and ensuring compliance with ESG standards.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP, contract management tools).
