Are you looking to advance your veterinary career in a role that offers both flexibility and variety? We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Veterinary Surgeon to join the team based at Medivet Clapham and surrounding South London practices.
This is the ideal role for a confident, capable vet who enjoys the balance of working independently while being part of a wider supportive network. You’ll experience a diverse caseload, collaborate with multiple teams, and contribute to maintaining the high clinical standards Medivet is known for.
Working a structured rota planned in advance, you will support practices local to you, with a mix of time at our hospital and up to four additional branches. This ensures that your days are well organised and balanced, while still offering the excitement of varied cases and the reward of continuity of care. The role is full time, consisting of four days per week with participation in the weekend rota, though part-time options can be considered for the right candidate.
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, ideally with a minimum of five years’ UK experience. You will be confident in carrying out routine surgeries independently, adaptable across different practice environments, and passionate about delivering high standards of small animal care. A positive approach and the ability to work both as part of a team and in sole charge will be key to your success.
At Medivet Clapham, you’ll find a friendly and close-knit team working in a surprisingly spacious, well-equipped practice with two consultation rooms, a dedicated theatre, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, dental x-ray, and separate dog and cat waiting areas and kennels. The practice is ideally located within a thriving local community, surrounded by independent cafés, restaurants and green spaces, offering a genuine neighbourhood feel with all the benefits of a South London setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your clinical and leadership skills, and enjoy the variety that comes with supporting multiple practices, all while benefiting from the stability and structure of a permanent role.
If you’re a motivated vet seeking flexibility, career progression and the chance to make a real impact across a network of practices, we’d love to hear from you.
