Registered Veterinary Nurse
The role
An exciting opportunity has become available at our Gatley branch as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. We can accept a final year SVN for this position.

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.
You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.
As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary £30,000 per annum
- Full time, working 40 hours per week with a fair share of weekends
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
- RCVS fees paid
- CPD allowance plus 2 days CPD leave

Medivet Gatley is a modern well-equipped 8 vet practice with a team of 7 receptionists plus an admin team enabling the RVN’s to do the jobs that they qualified to do! The practice benefits from digital x-ray and in house blood machines, multiparameter machine for anaesthetic monitoring, separate dog and cat wards and waiting rooms.
The clinic is silver cat friendly accredited. We have separate dental suite and orthopaedic / soft tissue theatres. The whole clinic has been recently refurbished so has a clean, warm and welcoming feel, with an abundance of natural light which is a rarity in the vet world! Well worth a visit!
