The role

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team in Parkstone, Poole. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience (UK or equivalent) and be a confident all rounder. Our highly experienced branch partner is a keen teacher for anyone wishing to develop their skills further. 

You should possess excellent communication and a passion for patient and client care as the clinic has a very loyal and active client base. 

This role provides a great work life balance, as this is a full time permanent role, 4 days a week (usually same day off each week). 9.00am – 6.00pm.

1 Saturday in 3 morning shift 8.30am – 12.00pm

OOH is currently on a voluntary basis with generous remuneration.

You will be supported by a very experience and friendly team of RVNs/SVNs/PCA and receptionist. You will also have lots of opportunity to work in close collaboration with our 24hr hospital which is also situated in Parkstone and will have access to certificate holder surgeons and advanced surgical equipment. 

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive package of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes a vehicle or vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Skills and experience

You must be a Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS.

Ideally, you have at least 2 years’ veterinary experience with small animals (UK or equivalent) and be a confident all rounder.
