We are looking for a caring professional with a motivated approach and good communication skills to augment our abilities.
CPD is supported and encouraged with a generous budget.
Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in practice and be confident in routine surgical procedures.
The ability to work within a team, to learn and most importantly to care would be necessary characteristics.
The Part-Time comprises of days and hours to suit with 1 weekend in 6 worked at our local main centre in Dorchester.
Skills and Experience
We seek a highly motivated and experienced vet with brilliant client and patient care with UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be competent in basic surgical and medical procedures. We would consider the right recent graduate looking to further their career however. You must have a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this branch further.
Working alongside very experienced colleagues there is the opportunity to learn and develop your veterinary skills with confidence. Branch Partner Andy has a surgical certificate and regularly sees in advanced operations from the local area. We have a team ethos in working and supporting each other clinically. The aim is to be able to leave satisfied each day knowing you have provided great care but still have that healthy work/life balance.
Heathlands (Medivet Wool) is a 4 vet small animal practice in a purpose built, spacious practice in the lovely Dorset countryside near the glorious coastline; giving ample opportunity for outdoor pursuits, watersports and access to nearby towns of Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth. We have a strong team ethos; focusing on providing great clinical care coupled with a high level of owner communication and customer care. We are well equipped with diagnostic, imaging and surgical equipment and blessed with both motivated nursing and front of house teams.
