Employee Relations Partner
The Opportunity
Do you have great experience working with people, alongside a thorough knowledge of UK employment legislation?
Joining our Medivet team, this impactful role will lead on advice, guidance and support on people employee relations issues such as disciplinary and grievance procedures, to ensure company policies and procedures are followed and our people are treated fairly.
The Divisional ER Partner will work in partnership with both the regional and divisional Operations Directors and People Managers to execute impactful divisional people plans; Creating learning interventions to enhance organisational capability in dealing with difficult situations and formal processes.
The division will cover Oxfordshire, West Mids, Wales, and Lancashire and occasional travel will be required.

Role Accountabilities
- Provide professional advice and guidance with the aligned divisional leadership teams that is built on trust, confidence, and regular and open communication.
- Use expertise and knowledge to feed into the Medivet strategy in terms of mitigating risk for the organisation.
- Support the divisional people plan that is aligned with key business and people priorities and is fully sponsored by the Divisional Leadership teams.
- Work in partnership with the Divisional Clinical Ops team to support and drive relevant activity to ensure people related issues are dealt with sensitively and professionally.
- Assist leaders and line managers to proactively identify, pre-empt and troubleshoot risk with their people.
- Lead on the simplifying and strengthening of policies and formal processes so key issues can be addressed in a robust, effective ad expedient manner.
- Work with the People Development team on a people interventions training programme to strengthen line management interventions around conflict and risk.
- Continuously review policy and procedures to ensure they are legally compliant and communicated effectively to our business.
- Work in partnership with the People Managers team to highlight divisional issues and support as appropriate on complex/challenging cases.
- Attend new clinic acquisitions and support the TUPE one to one process as part of the consultation process.
- To support the people service lead with briefing and updating any measures statements and consultation briefs for the process
- Complete the end-to-end formal process for consultation and disciplinaries and grievances.
- To work with the Employee Relations Specialist and Employee Relations Lead to flag potential litigation risks early and to ensure that all ACAS early conciliation claims and ET1 submissions are flagged and addressed through the established process.
- Act as a role model and champion of the People Function across the division with a key focus on how to navigate the people operating model. To hold weekly/monthly meetings with key stakeholders presenting ER metrics, providing insights and propose solutions.
- Deliver People Services objectives effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.
Your Skills and Experience
- Multi-site field-based People experience is essential.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience including robust knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Operational and commercial acumen including making evidence-based business decisions.
- Brilliant stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen, influence and work collaboratively with people at all levels, including senior management.
- Able to demonstrate how to use data and evidence to make decisions.
- Possesses excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
- Ability to work in an evolving People function and comfortable managing the ambiguity that comes with that.
- Excellent IT skills in general including Microsoft Office.
