We are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team at The Veterinary Referral Centre, Godstone as we relaunch our medicine and surgery referral services this autumn alongside our new ophthalmology referral service.

Godstone is 5 minutes from the M25 and ideally situated between Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Close to London, the Surrey Hills and the south-east coast you can be sure to create a great work life balance.

Key Resources: MRI, CT, endoscopy, x-ray, ultrasound, radioactive iodine unit, and on-site laboratory equipment, night nursing service with additional local support for inpatients from Medivet 24h clinics.

Immediate start available, 4/5 day working week with flexible working options available.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Support with advanced imaging procedures such as CT, endoscopy and MRI
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
  • Experience of working in a referral clinic and further qualifications are an advantage.
