Resident in Veterinary Clinical Pathology

Resident in Veterinary Clinical Pathology Watford, Hertfordshire Medivet Lab Services Full Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are a small, friendly diagnostic laboratory, and place a strong emphasis on client care and service quality.

We are UKAS-accredited to the new 17025:2017 standard, and provide diagnostic services in Clinical Pathology and Microbiology. Our laboratory is staffed by highly trained and experienced biomedical scientists and clinical pathologists.

This is an individually tailored program that aims to provide advanced training in veterinary clinical pathology, in the subjects of haematology, coagulation, cytology, clinical chemistry, endocrinology, urinalysis, and quality control.

Under the close supervision of two certified clinical pathologists, residents will be guided towards the successful completion of the clinical pathology examination administered by the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). Residents should aim to sit both parts of the examination within 4 years.

The residency program will combine supervised training, self-directed learning and externships, with participation in the routine diagnostic clinical pathology rotation.
