The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Delivery Manager looking for your next challenge?

The Delivery Manager is accountable for the delivery of product releases – on Freedom (IT Platform), Client Portal, Colleague Portal etc – specified by the Product Team and delivered by the Software Engineering team. They will enable teams to deliver continuously and focus on what will be of greatest value to clinics, clients and the wider business.

This role will also coordinate the release into live working with the various service teams and clinics.

Role Accountabilities

  • Work with the Product, Engineering, Testing and IT Service teams to co-ordinate the delivery of releases to Freedom (IT Platform) and other IT applications.
  • Direct Line management for a selection of delivery team roles.
  • Support the team and ensure the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on the main objectives.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to co-ordinate software releases including operations, marketing and finance.
  • Support teams to focus on delivery by unblocking issues and ensuring that all tracking and reporting to the wider organisation is completed.
  • Proactively manage dependencies of varying complexity, potentially planning and feeding into larger programmes and portfolios.
  • Remove blockers and manage risks.
  • Communicate changes to clinics and other colleagues across the business.
  • Working with L&D and Freedom Training team to ensure training material is updated and they are aware of changes.
  • Define and establish governance principles and processes that enable teams to deliver the right things in the right way.

Your Skills and Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Manager within the IT/Digital field or similar.

Extremely well organised.

Excellent communication skills.

Able to work effectively in teams with enough gravitas to co-ordinate them.

Knowledge of Medivet clinics and users (Or similar organisation)

Knowledge of relevant IT applicationsproducts.

Software developmentIT skills helpful but not essential as training can be provided.
