The Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity at our Hendon hospital, for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon, joining us with the aim of becoming a Branch Partner, giving you your own a share of your practice and taking the next step in your career, utilising your ambition to be the driving force behind your successful practice, while delivering unrivalled care and positively impacting our staff, patients, clients, and the community. As a Branch Partner you will bring clinical expertise delivering exceptional client and patient care while Medivet provide extensive back office operational and commercial support. Together we will grow value in the practice, which will be realised by you the Branch Partner at the point of sale.
Medivet Hendon 24-Hour is a bustling hospital in the heart of north London; recently recognised as one of London’s best Veterinary practices, with our highly experienced team, inspiring leadership, certificate holders plus fantastic nursing and support teams. The hospital also boasts a dedicated reception and night team and is undergoing a state-of-the-art refurbishment.
We house an MRI/CT unit, treating many interesting neurology, medicine, surgical and other cases. Additionally, we’re equipped with endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods and much more! The group is also supported by its own pet blood bank, laboratory, and many other services. Hendon also has a spacious garden, two dedicated staff rooms, a close link to the station as well as a friendly and social team. We support Medivet clinics in Northwest London and across Southern England, with interesting and complicated cases.

Responsibilities

  • Own practice standards and champion excellent across your practice.
  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
  • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring payment and minimising debt.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager to maximise commercial performance with a focus on key measures.
  • Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
  • Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

 

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • An understanding and appreciation of exceptional care and how this improves the client experience.
  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience of delivering strong commercial performance through effective allocation of clinical activity.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
