The opportunity

Our friendly team in Northallerton are dedicated and experienced large and small animal vets who are committed to providing excellence in veterinary care for small pets, horses, farm animals, and exotic pets whether at the surgery, at home or on the farm.

As part of this veterinary team you will care for 65% of Large animal, which does include some export work, dairy, beef and sheep and around 30% small animal and the rest is made up of a little equine work.

Kebir House has been providing veterinary care for local people since before the First World War and has been at the current, central Northallerton location for over 50 years. Through diligence, clinical excellence and above all compassion, Kebir House has built a reputation for outstanding, comprehensive veterinary services available 24 hours a day across the district.

Northallerton is a stunning market town in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. It is perfectly situated between the picturesque Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors with plenty of outdoor activities to experience. It also has fantastic rail links and is quick and easy to get to the cities of York and Newcastle.

This is a full time opportunity of 4 days per week 8am – 6pm, 1 in 4 weeknights on call and 1 in 4 weekends on call (Friday 5pm – Monday 8am).

Skills and experience

  • Qualified MRCVS
  • 2 years’ experience in a small animal practice
  • Competent in clinical examination and surgery
  • Competent in working sole charge or as part of the wider team
