We are looking for a veterinary surgeon with 2 or more years’ experience in small animal practice to join our amazing East Oxford practice. The ideal candidate will be; confident with routine surgery and medicine, assured in their communication, comfortable working as part of a team, keen to develop their clinical skillset, and share our core Medivet values of being caring, progressive and trustworthy.
East Oxford is a two or three vet practice led by our fantastic Branch Partner Mitko Dimitrov. The practice performs laparoscopic neutering and comes equipped with ultrasound and digital x-ray.
Mitko is incredibly experienced and skilled with this equipment and would be particularly keen to train you with the laparoscopic equipment, within 6 months you will be confident with use of LigaSure and within a year you will be confident in laparoscopic procedures such as gastropexy, cystotomy and more.

As part of our large regional team, you will build relationships with our talented and experienced vets, share skills and work together with the help of our state-of-the-art equipment across the region to provide the highest standard of care. For the right candidate, there may also be a fantastic opportunity to join the practice partnership. Medivet’s Branch Partnership model is unique among corporate veterinary companies. Our Support Centre and Regional teams will provide in-depth support with administrative and management tasks to allow Branch Partners to focus on providing gold-standard care to their patients and leadership to their teams. The Role
- 4-day working week across 2 or 3 branches with consistent day off
- 1:6 weekend or 1:3 Saturday or Sunday shifts
- Average of 1.5 Bank Holiday shifts per year
- Occasional on-call duties supporting our dedicated night team

- Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
