The role
**Calling all weekend warriors**
An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at our busy 24 hour practice in Shrewsbury.
This role involves regular weekend work only. The frequency of this can be negotiated. Typically a weekend shift would consist of Saturday and Sunday 9 am– 7pm with a protected 1 hour lunch break.
Depending on the frequency of this role you would ideally be working along side another experienced vet.
The clinic has a strong nursing team and prides themselves on exceptional patient care. The clinic supports up to 10 clinics on a Saturday OOH and Sunday. You will see a very varied case load with a great client base.

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary £28,200 dependant on experience and frequency of weekends worked
- Pro Rata CPD allowance, RCVS fees and BVA fees paid

Medivet Shrewsbury 24 Hour has been fully refurbished and comes well equipped with 5 consult rooms, 2 theatre’s and a dedicated dental theatre. Equipment available includes CT scanner, digital x-ray, lap Spey facilities, tonopen, ultrasound, ECG, in-house laboratory and much more. The practice sees a busy and varied caseload of both first opinion and referral work and is also a training practice for nurses and Vets training on our Graduate Development Programme.
Shrewsbury connects to the M6 and motorway network via the M54. The A49, A5, A53, A458 all make Shrewsbury easily accessible. The practice is conveniently located with good transport links to London, Birmingham and Wales. From every direction there are signs to bring you through to the town centre and the car parks within. The town centre is a 10 minute drive from the practice which has lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and much more!
