The role
Medivet 24-hour Hendon are currently recruiting for an imaging vet to join the team and manage the CT/MRI unit, as our current vet is moving on with view to completing an internship.
The role primarily involves performing CT and MRI scans after making an initial clinical assessment and differential diagnosis list for a vast range and number of cases. Ability to Ultrasound would also be an advantage.
You will work alongside a dedicated Imaging RVN.You will also have the benefit of external support, as the images are sent to our specialist team at VetCT for a full diagnostic report – an excellent learning tool to enhance your knowledge.
You will have a keen interest in advanced imaging and ultrasound, and hold a certificate/PHD in imaging or be working towards one.
Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to join early November to provide a month of training/handover.

Recognised as one of London’s best Vet practices, you will be joining a highly experience team led by Branch Partners Jeremy and Sarah, plus a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse with 15 years experience, 10 other vets, a dedicated Imaging RVN, 5 other RVNs, 4 Student Nurses, 4 Patient Care Assistants and 5 Client Care Assistants!
It houses an MRI/CT unit and so treats many interesting neurology, medicine, surgical and other cases. Additionally, Hendon 24hr is equipped with endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, MiLab X7 ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods, dental radiology and much more! The group is also supported by its own pet blood bank, laboratory as well as other services. Hendon also has a spacious garden, seperate cat and dog wards, two dedicated staff rooms, a close link to the station as well as a friendly and sociable team who enjoy their team nights out.
It supports Medivet clinics in all of Northwest London but also the whole of Southern England, with interesting and complicated cases.
