Client Care Assistant – Veterinary
The role
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) to join our team at Medivet West Byfleet in a permanent full time role, 40 hours per week. Everyone here is focused on our patients and clients, and you will be too as you answer calls and queries, make appointments and take payments, and ensure the practice is safe and well-stocked.
The successful candidate will have previous receptionist or in customer facing experience, as well as a love for animals, although no prior animal care experience is required.
This position will best suit a proactive enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exceptional communication skills. You will be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure and priorities your workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition.
National Minimum Wage
30 hours a week
Role accountabilities
The duties of the Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) include but are not limited to:
Prompt and efficient telephone answering
Dealing with routine client queries
Making appointments
Taking payments
Money handling and banking
General admin duties such as monitoring and responding to emails
Stock Management
Skills and experience
Reception and Administration experience is essential, you’ll also receive support and training. You must share our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in customer service and have caring, thoughtful communication skills.

Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable but not essential.
