The role

Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) at the Band Veterinary Center.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a busy team and possess the confidence to work alone when required; you will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, happy to get stuck in where ever needed.

Your role will involve a wide range of tasks, primarily reception duties, and client support. Medivet is growing rapidly and it is an exciting time to join us – we encourage growth and development within your role.

Part time 23.33 hours a week

1:3 weekends

Role accountabilities

The duties of the Veterinary Receptionist include, but are not limited to: prompt and efficient telephone answering and service, dealing with routine client queries, making appointments, taking payments, submitting insurance claims, cashing up at end of day and end of week, banking, conversing with clients and staff members, taking and relaying messages, cleaning, stock taking, inputting laboratory results onto client records, maintaining and promoting H&S in the reception area and other parts of the practice as required, sending and responding to emails, etc.

Skills and experience

Previous work experience within a veterinary practice is desirable (voluntary or paid) along with a willingness to learn; work experience with animals would also be beneficial.

Experience as a Receptionist or in administration would be advantageous.
