The Role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse at our fantastic hospital based in Richmond.
As a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.
The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as assisting the Head Veterinary Nurse with the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.
This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week over 5 days. This shift pattern includes 1:6 full weekends.

Skills and Experience
You must be a Veterinary Nurse who is registered with the RCVS.
Previous experience working in a small animal practice is required.
The Branch
Medivet 24 Hour Richmond sees an interesting, busy and varied caseload. The hospital offers a range of services from routine general practice work to specialist treatments, an orthopaedic service, laparoscopy and advanced imaging. The team is made up of vets with different areas of interest, many of whom are certificate holders, or are studying towards one, these include: medicine and imaging. The hospital is well equipped with separate dog and cat wards, laparoscopic surgical equipment, ultrasound, a full CT suite and endoscopy.
The practice is located in central Richmond, with easy access to rail links and public transport. The successful candidate will be joining a large team of 8 vets and a large support staff.
